Studio King is a full service architectural practice. We provide feasibility studies, master planning, programming, interior design, site design and architectural design services for new or renovation projects for all building types. We have over 25 years of experience in architectural practice and are well versed in the process of project development, design, management and administration.

Communicating the design intent to our clients, consultants and to contractors is an important aspect of what we do. We employ the necessary computer technology to accomplish this and to efficiently manage the range of information throughout a project while staying flexible enough to adapt to changing parameters.

The collaborative aspects of architecture and project development provides us with the opportunity to engage qualified and respected consultants who we employ directly or recommend to our clients as team members. The list includes Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering, Acoustical, Landscape and Lighting design as well as Accessibility and LEED Commissioning.

We work well within the arrangements of the contractual agreements between the owner, architect, consultants and contractor and understand the importance of owner/architect strategies and project management in executing a design.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainable design seems more often than not a decision between quality and quantity or initial cost versus life cycle cost. By integrating sustainable design philosophies into each project in the conceptual stage, the initial cost can be mitigated resulting in better functioning buildings that last longer and require less maintenance, ultimately becoming more valuable and less costly as they age. The utilization of sustainable strategies such as day lighting, building orientation, land conservation and energy reduction is a viable way of building that is more responsive to the environment, more integrated into the land and more sensitive to use and comfort so important to our client’s operational success.
