MICHAEL KING
Michael has extensive experience in designing and managing a variety of building types. He worked as a project designer/ project architect at Gensler under Antony Harbour on numerous specialty interior projects including furniture design. At 3D/I, under Norman Hoover, he was on the design team for the Museum of Natural Science’s Cockrell Butterfly Center, the Alkek research tower for Baylor University in Houston and the headquarter campus for Case Equipment in Racine, Wisconsin. As Director of Design at RHA in Houston he was responsible for master planning projects, commercial and institutional facilities including workplaces, religious facilities, medical facilities and schools.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects, is registered architect in the state of Texas and is an LEED accredited professional. He has served as a board member of the Art League of Houston and has been involved in numurous cultural institutions . In 2004 he was honored with an AIA award for the design of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas.
In addition to his architectural background and work, Michael is also an established artist with work in numerous collections throughout the state.
